Surfing this spot in the afternoon can be a bit chilly, as the huge cliff behind it casts a shadow over the whole bay. Luckily this day it was also producing some fun little wedges. Hamish Renwick (top) and Ethan Wilson made the most of it.
Thom Pringle oozes style in and out of the water. On this trip his DIY zebra designed wetty complimented the DIY zebra graphics on his board perfectly. We didn't score any quality waves but that didn't stop Thom flaring - the guy's got an impressive bag of tricks...
The day before this clip was shot, Chippa Wilson was surfing a peak just up the beach from this. He takes off on a wedgy left, pumps once and launches into the air, spinning in a forward motion. Midway throught the first rotation he grabs both rails, switches the board around and continues to rotate another three hundred and sixty degrees. What do you call that? A 540 varial shuv-it? An ally-oop passion pop? Whatever it's called you will be amazed to view it in motion. As for this air to reverse, tails up!
