The sky is dim. The first morning rays are just creeping over the horizon. The waves are solid four foot, but there is a long wait between sets. Sitting in the deep water off the edge of the reef, I bob up and down with my housing, waiting patiently for a surfer to see a lump worth riding. My mind starts to wander. I can't help but think of what could be below.
